I was sort of stumped today working on this post, so I simply Googled: photography, and found the above right image. I liked it so I tried to think of what I might do with it. I thought, this bird has a lot of personality.
My first instinct was this might make a great meme, as personality is an important part of how these images operate. You then have to attach an emotion or some type of theme to the distinct image your photo portrays. With this bird's narrow eyes and forward position, combined with the open mouth, I thought this is one angry bird!
Then I was playing with the idea of a visual metaphor. Here is this literal angry bird living in the real "world" while these figurative "Angry Birds" exist in the current trend of freemium gaming.
I thought maybe I could do a themed meme of what birds really have to be angry about. Birds, angry, word association led me to: deforestation. Then I had some what of an "aha!" moment , which I will now use the Sudden Clarity Clarence meme to describe.

We make a mockery of our own consumerism with this game. We slingshot birds (who die in the process) at these pigs building these wooden houses. We make a game out of killing birds who are angry, because we (pigs) are killing their habitats. What kind of rhetoric does this send to young gamers? I guess that's something to look into later.
